So, this lady cancelled her wedding that would have been held in a few weeks time.
What happened?
Her guy refused to foot the bill for the clothes her Bridal Train would be wearing at their Traditional and White wedding.
The lady had gathered about 15 of her friends and colleagues for her bridal train and promised them that her hubby would take care of their attire and accessories.
They ended up choosing materials that ran into mîllions, and she was expecting her hubby to pay.
Knowing fully well the financial capacity of her man, and being aware that it wouldn’t cover the bills, she pressured him to go and borrow, just to satisfy her friends.
“I already told them that my man is an Odogwu, and that he can foot all the bills including theirs. Why would you want to fall my hands now.” She told her guy.
“But you know my capacity dear. You know how I struggled to raise the money to settle the big bills on your people’s list.
My business is already struggling and you are still bringing in so much. Please, we can’t do this at the moment.” He explained.
She got up and walked out on him, disappointed. She went ahead and told her friends all that she discussed with her man.
They laughed at her and told her she was getting married to a stîngy man.
“This is a red flag! This man is stîngy! It’s still early to call off this wedding! You can’t come and be sûffering in marriage.” They advised her.
That was how she called off her wedding, just 2 weeks before the D day. A guy who has been there for her through the thick and thin.
The guy was really hûrt. He tried to mend things, but she refused. She wanted to prove to her friends that she was woman enough!
And the bréak up happened. It took some time before the guy recovered from the shóck, shàme and financial lóss.
After some months, he got hooked with another lady, and within the space of 6 months, they were already planning their wedding.
The other lady happened to come around, as an old time friend. But then, she was shócked to find out who his bride is.
Guess who? One of her friends. The ones that told her to call off the wedding. She saw her dancing and enjoying her big day.
And guess what again? There were no bridal trains! It was just the guy and his bride.
Oh! The same lady that told her she shouldn’t settle for less?
Aaaaaah! Indeed! Life has happened to her.
And she knew, that finding such a good and great man again would be a very hàrd nut to cràck.
And she wépt! And wished she could turn back the hands of time.
All that glitters are not gold 🪙
Your marriage will thrive 🌹
