When a family is blessed with a baby, visitors will keep trouping in, to see the baby.

They usually bring gifts for either the new mummy or the omomo…could be cash, could be diapers, anything at all.

The family in turn, would offer refreshments.

When Bobo and i came back home, our neighbors started visiting, to see the baby.

One evening, this neighbor of mine, a couple, came to visit.

They sat and requested for the baby…they didn’t get to carry him though. They just looked at him from the net.

As they sat gisting, my cousin brought out a tray of malt and chin chin…the small tray had 4 malt.

You know you can’t just put two on the tray now.
You put more than, for aesthetics cos you know the visitor will only take two.

The wife picked one can of malt.
The husband picked one can of malt.

The wife picked another can and said it was for their baby…they came with their 8 months old son.

They started eating the chin-chin.

After sometime, they talked about leaving.

The wife stood up, came to me, held my hand, opened it and put something inside.

Then she said…”Abeg use am buy Pampers!”

I unravelled and it was N1000.

I said thank you to her and just as they stood up to leave, she picked up the remaining can of malt and made her way outside the door.

Mama Ify couldn’t stop fuming that why will they clearly take 4 cans of malt and drop soh soh 1k that it is bad…

Say wetin others go drink if dem come?
She almost ate my cousin for bringing out 4 at once but i told her to chill…say sometimes person no supposed to dey use something like this vex.

Say how much be malt kwanu? Soh soh N800.

Well, time passed and everyone forgot about it but me, i didn’t. I do not forget things.

A few months later, i started seeing my neighbor with a baby bump.

I smiled and said the Lord has come, to answer my prayers godu…an avenue, for revenge.

Anytime she passes me, i will smile at her and she in turn, at me…person weh i don legit dey plan for!

On Monday, my neighbor put to bed, a bouncing baby girl…they came back on Tuesday.

So on Sunday, I’ll be going to visit the new mom and baby.

As I’m talking to you now, I’ve been on dry fasting since Wednesday…my belle empty!

There’s one, 1k note nfuru inside my washed jean…i sundried it yesterday.

I don iron am this evening, keep am well.
